I agree with Stephen A Smith black athletes need to wake up and realize that just because they have millions of dollars, does not mean they can get away with anything. There was no reason to bring a gun to the club, there is no reason for a athlete to spit in a girl’s face. It is sad to see black athletes act a fool even though we have a black president trying to change the stereotype.

Lets Look at one of the greatest matches in sports history, Nadal V. Federer. Many people think it was just another match between two tennis great. What people failed to realize is that whoever won this match is going to be looked as one of the greatest players ever in the history of tennis. Nadal’s 6-4, 6-4, 6-7 (5-7), 6-7 (8-10), 9-7 victory took 4 hours and 48 minutes of actual playing time was amazing. Both weren’t tired and kept going until that person won.
Now, in his third straight Wimbledon final, and having come so close last year, Nadal can also lay claim to fame on grass. Federer’s 65-match winning streak on the surface is over. You can’t say Federer was not warned, though. Everyone told him that Nadal was closing in on him. Analysts even said that Djonivic (excuse if I spell his name wrong) had a strong chance of beating Federer.
Nadal will now be looked as a tennis great, up there Bjorn. Federer still may be able to come back next year and win it but hey who knows what will happen between now and then
B.T.W. Venus did very well against her younger sister who she has lost to every time they play in the finals. Serena may be a little upset but its your sister what are you gonna do.
According to ESPn.com, I sadly report that while we were sleeping (except for me, I got you faithful readers) Willie Randolph has been fired, one of the good black managers of this time have been kicked to the curb. I would not put the entire blame it on him, blame endy chavez and carlos delgado for hitting under .220. Pitching coach Rick Peterson and first base coach Tom Nieto also were cut loose. What I don’t understand is that they cut him overnight after they beat the angels 9-6, they fired him 2 hours after the win. Mets won 2 str8 and they still cut him loose. Bench coach Jerry Manuel takes over on an interim basis for Randolph.
Let’s some accomplishments shall we.

Is it over or just beginning, Dwayne wade and the Heat overcame a 0-2 deficit, can the Lakers? Locking up Kobe is no easy feat but the Celtics did it. Paul Pierce, Ray Allen and KG are showing the Lakers how the Big Three can dominate even though Leon Powe really make them win the game. Maybe the halftime special on his life helped him score a career high 21 points. The main question is….Can anyone stop Paul Pierce?

A Nevada prosecutor and a Las Vegas Strip casino say Charles Barkley hasn’t settled his $400,000 gambling debt, despite what he said on television.
Officials with the Wynn Las Vegas resort and the Clark County district attorney’s office say there’s been no payment and no contact with the former NBA star and TV analyst.
During Turner Network Television’s pre-game show before the NBA playoffs Monday, Barkley said the debt had been paid and he was giving up gambling.
The Wynn Las Vegas resort alleges in a civil complaint filed May 14 in Nevada state court that Barkley failed to repay four $100,000 casino markers, or loans, received last Oct. 18 and 19.
District Attorney David Roger has promised to file a criminal complaint if Barkley doesn’t pay up by June 9.

Much to fans dismay, the spurs win again. The New Orleans Hornets could not handle the pressure of Game 7 and lost to the spurs. The spurs looked like the “playoff spurs” that everyone knows them by.
Hornets had dominated the third quarters of their three previous home games in this series. This time, the Spurs, who have won four titles in the previous nine seasons, had an answer. It was their known attribute: stingy defense. After the 1st half, new Orleans were down by 9, the hornets they were down by 7 or more the rest of the game
Manu Ginobili scored 26 points, Tony Parker added 17 points,
West led the Hornets with 20 points, while Paul and Jannero Pargo each added 18.
The Lakers win yet again, can anyone stop them? The main question is, are they going to the finals? I know they are hoping for the Hornets, because the spurs are a tough team to handle. With the MVP, it should be no problem.
